In the midst of a rainy move I was literally stuck inside ALL day yesterday with the kids.. which meant I couldn't do much but catch up on laundry and cleaning at MIL's place. I'm so edger to get across the street already that I went and upcycled the ugly palm fawn photo from the Florida room (soon to be converted into my oldest's room. I took the picture and spent about an hour converting it into our new kitchen family board. I decided I needed to make the weekly meal plan visible to all eyes able to read, plus a schedule for the week. meaning, all Vet visits, all Dr. visits would be visible to all eyes walking out the front door. So here is the before and afters with instructions in between. (Don't mind the glare it was late at night) my husband took the kids to the mall so I could sleep I was up with Darlin' A all night the night prior so I was tired, but Nosey Neighbor #2 was ringing our door bell at 8:30 and I was WIDE awake after. ): My husband works on houses, so we have this tape laying around, its seriously the BEST TAPE IN THE WORLD, we secure all of our rugs down with this tape so the kids don't fall. Also makes for great projects! I cut the pieces and used the double sided tape to stick the cardboard to the photo board to give it dimension.

In the midst of trying to figure out our living situation, I need a good distraction, some of my favorite distractions are of course crafting and decorating my home. However, with the upcoming move to either stay here or move 46 long minutes away, I cannot add to my house with crafting projects at the moment. So how to fix this? simple I'll save all my fall printable's in ONE place, for when I can finish printing them and arranging them around the house! I'm compiling a few of my favorites via my Pinterest page (to find more printables please follow my printables board). These will work for the upcoming fall festivities, I'll make sure there are categories you can find to the right of my blog.
Hope you enjoy them! Please click the links below to follow to their original site, I did not make these (although I usually make quite a bit of my own for holidays, however this year there is no time!) I do not own these or have rights to any of them, there are links connected to each printable from where the original came from, where if you follow the link, there are often MORE printables, it's like some sorta printable dream! The last time I wrote, we were considering house swapping with my MIL, last night after I told my SIL what was going on she nearly lost her head yelling that we are NOT moving from our town. I suddenly remembered WHY we did move here, for the BEACH. I put my thinking cap on because I knew my MIL would lay the guilt thick, but we have to do whats best for our family too. My husband surprised me and showed up early from work, I was starting to prepare dinner for the grill. The kids were SO happy it was probably the first time they had seen him since the weekend with him working such long, exhausting hours, and we talked. For the first time alone just him and I. I poured my heart out, this is not something I wanted to move from. We moved here to be close to the beach, to enjoy life, so I could feel safe walking the kids alone in the evening with our dog, not to uproot them again, (seriously we may be Gypsies.) and, I'd do what ever it took to stay here, right where we are in our slow moving beach side town... and he agreed! So now comes the task of breaking it to my MIL when she comes home today, that we will be moving into the house across the street until we can find a three bedroom in our town. My SIL came over again today to pick up little A to do some shopping in the neighboring town, which gave me some free time to seriously think and do some cleaning and pack some orders I had for the company. I couldn't help but to feel SO relieved about the decision we made together as a family. We made this choice for our children to grow up by the beach. We didn't work this hard to take SO many steps back. This is it, and I found my forever, in this little beach side town, we will now permanently call home.. | |
I'm also pretty sure, a diaper I ordered that came in today really helped boost my mood. Seriously who doesn't love Fluff Mail? I cannot wait to get it washed and OTB (on the bum) I cannot wait to try the Swaddlebee's brand and give a review. Keep an eye out!
This Little Darling Face...
Just had to share.. (:
Welp, here you have it, we got all settled in to learn we have to up and move again... our little beach side dream ripped out from underneath my feet. We originally moved into my Mother-in-laws, because financially she was unable to keep up with her home, she was in turn going to move in with her boyfriend, and we'd take over the payments of the house and other bills. However things didn't go as planned. She decided that, IF something were to happen to her now soon to be husband that she wouldn't be able to afford two homes let alone just hers, so we are house swapping. So this week I broke down and ordered a planner from Etsy at PlumPaperDesigns I will do a review once it arrives. I loved the set up the most because I could chose 7 different catagories that will help run my home a bit better... I did add a blogging spot to keep me up to date with all projects and non-profit stuff. I had HOPED would be here prior to the move but it's looking like we have 5 days to pack up and house swap, BEFORE Addisyn's 3rd Birthday on the 6th of October and Halloween, but that is not looking as it will happen now. While both houses have a list of pros and cons I can't help but feeling extremely sad to be leaving this home I love so much. This felt like our forever, so where does that leave this crazy planner? PACKING. AGAIN. I will be blogging about it, of course, and in our new home, I will have more space to craft and sew, which is a MAJOR plus for this Momma, and I guess an added perk will be that I get a clean slate to decorate... (not sure yet, if that is good or bad) but, we will be in this home for awhile before making the plunge of purchasing our first family home, so this Momma will have to make due and turn this new home into a her crafty place.
After having just moved you have to get into a whole entire new routine. It took me almost a week to get my kids adjusted to their new rooms, new sounds and new home. The one thing we CANNOT seem to get used to is an early postman (or woman!) whom ever delivers our mail thinks its fun to ring our door bell at 9:00 AM and dash away so I couldn't tell you honestly if it WAS a man or a woman. By the time I rush out of bed, and trip over the barking dog, to rush to the door, the magic invisible mailperson has left a beautiful package at my door step, all while waking my babies. It drives me mad, so I thought about what I'd do about it and made this printable I plan on hanging RIGHT above our lovely door bell when I am expecting a package, if he/she wakes my children ONE more time you might catch me running down the road screaming mad across the lawns of my neighborhood with my fists in the air looking like a crazy person (hopefully for your sake you're not my neighbor!) and hopefully, they get the point.

This is something I whipped up really quick.
Hopefully it buys you some silent time too.

I started this week off with trying to organize our new home since we just moved. I started with cleaning schedules, and meal planning (things I had already done in the past) but, with a larger house to upkeep I needed a little inspiration. I'm a HUGE Pinterest person and I started following organization broads. That was my first mistake, seeing how organized others are that should send you into a cleaning frenzy and want to purge everything you own and start from scratch.
I decided to tackle each room on a different day. Each got a deep clean, meaning everything wiped down, dusted, folded, straightened up and thrown into the trash pile if need be.
Monday- Kitchen/Pantry
Tuesday - Kids room/Laundry
Wednesday - Garage and Lawn
Thursday - Living room/Dining Room
Friday - Master Bedroom
Saturday - Laundry and Tidy up.
I also decided that I needed to update my cleaning lists, which sent me into making a home management binder, that-- has now turned into mapping out a planner for the rest of this year and next. I am a HUGE planner person, I have some sort of addiction to them and every year I pledge that I will keep one all year long and it never turns out that way. If I made one written mistake that sucker gets filed under: DO NOT USE. This year however I have managed to keep mine, but they never seem to have everything I need or want in a planner. I looked into the "Life Planner" but, it honestly wont work for me. I need SPACE and freedom. So I tackled the task of making my own via Pinterest. I'll include the links of where I found all the sites to collect everything I needed to make my own personal planner.
I first took out notebook paper and jotted down everything I thought I needed to keep me interested in a planner all year. This was the list I compiled:
1. Holiday/Birthday lists - (of course for my children and husband.) When it comes time to purchase gifts I always draw blanks on what they have been talking or whining about.
2. Cleaning Schedules - (my personal and seasonal and annual you know for when you need reminding to change the batteries in your fire alarms..)
3. Birthday & Anniversary Dates - (UHHHH who doesn't want to forget this?)
4. Contacts - (with two lines for address, who can cram it all on one line??!)
5. Meal planner - (this needs to have a grocery list as well.)
6. Dr. Visits -(what is my kids weight again??)
7. Bills to Pay - (for when myself or my husband forgets and we come home to no power.)
8. Wines to Try - (pretty self explanatory, I have kids.)
9. Pantry Inventory - (because, I can never remember what I have on hand. Ever.)
10. Freezer Inventory - (see above.)
11. Blog - since I am just starting out I need something to keep track of all the craziness that floats around my brain all day, this will include a schedule, a place to jot ideas and brainstorm and stats and giveways, ect.
12. Non-profit work - (I do a lot I need some place to keep my on going to-do list.) This probably wont work for everyone but my idea is if you have a kid in sports, or a job, ect. you can print the same monthly calendar and just make a separate tab in your planner so you can see your schedule or theirs.)
13. To-Do - (Monthly projects and everyday stuffs.)
14. Notes - (Yep. Need this.)
15. Party Planner - (Well I plan a lot of gatherings every year, this will help plan menus and who's invited, and what I need to grab from the store.)
16. Password Tracker - (I have to many accounts!)
17. Covers - Front & back for the binder
18. Take Out List - (so it doesn't turn into, "what was that place again? didn't we just go there??")
19. Weekly Calendar. (MUST HAVE LINES)
20. Food Journal - (because, like any woman I need to monitor what goes in my mouth.)
21. Year of Savings - (I probably could learn to budget better.)
22. Emergency Contacts - (if God forbid something bad happens at least someone will know who to call.)
23. Car Info - (who really wants to keep that sticker that reminds them about oil changes on their cars?)
24. Mileage Tracker - (this is mainly for my husband, since he needs to keep track of this for our taxes.)
Maybe I am O.C.D. but, hey it won't be the last name I am called I can assure you, but I needed to find something that worked for me and my family especially being so close to the holidays and the bulk of our birthdays are summer and fall through spring months in this house. It's going to get crazy around here and I need to keep sane. I hope you find these links helpful and useful and best of all they are FREE!

Hopefully this will be a good place to keep all my crazy crafty ideas, crazy mommy moments, stumbles, hiccups, triumphs, product reviews, goals and Pinterest fails & wins all in one place..
I'm a WAHM (work at home mom) I stay home with my 3 amazing kids, Mya is 10, Addisyn is 2 and Elias who is 1. I run my own cloth diaper online store which I do after my lovely children have decided to fall asleep each night, which typically makes for late nights.
I'm semi soft "crunchy". I cloth diaper, use homemade ointments, check chemicals, delay vacs, semi co-sleep, teach my kids sign language, and don't feel the way I parent is better (or worse) than the next..
I volunteer my time to a NON-profit cloth diaper bank and work hard in my small beach community. I'm always up for a challenge! (; I sew in my spare time, (what's spare time?) I cook (a lot) I garden, I like to try new things and love coffee! (mmmhmmm). I take way to many photos, mainly of my kids and nature and my crafts and food. I'm frugal to an extent (I may need an intervention) I'm always looking forways to save our money, and spend less! gardening tips since moving beach side and I always love meeting new mommy friends.
Thank you for sharing this journey with my family and I as I hope to do a lot of learning (and laughing) from my blogging journey. I'm totally new to this and look forward to sharing my many ups and downs with you.
